Looking back at July 2023

We had lots to celebrate last month and here are a couple of our staff highlights. 

Leeds Beckett University Graduation Week 2023

Thank you to the team who worked hard all week to maintain high standards while 3000+ members of the public attended two large buildings at Leeds Beckett University's City campus.  

   

Celebrating Richard Rowlands achieving Chartered Practitioner status

We want to congratulate Richard Rowlands on achieving Chartered Practitioner status within the industry through The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners. Richard has shared the following information on his achievement and the ceremony:

"Last week, I travelled to London for The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners summer luncheon at Glaziers Hall. I was proud to receive my Chartered Practitioners status within the industry (C.Env.Cln) in a ceremony during the day. 

Having a Master's Degree already, I followed the standard application path. This required me to attend an interview with a panel of industry experts who wanted to understand my leadership qualities, my industry passions, and my professional commitment amongst other things. They scored me on my responses, and after an hour, I couldn’t convey any more of my passion for the industry I love. 

Later, I was fortunate to get the email from Lynn Webster C.Env.Cln, FBICSc CIMS CCE, AAP Certified to say I had reached the pass mark for acceptance. 

I’d like to thank Duncan Bullough and Bulloughs Cleaning Services Limited for supporting my application, Lynn, Lorraine Larman CMIOSH FBICSc and Maureen Marden for guidance and support during the process. Finally I’d like to thank all members of the WCEC who made me feel most welcome during my ceremony. Special mention to Jeremy Rowan who helped me through the ceremonial process impeccably!"
